The team at Dealer Authority is ecstatic about announcing that Erika Simms has joined the crew as our new Director of Social Media. She brings the proper combination of retail automotive experience and vendor know-how to our rapidly expanding social media services.
Erika first caught our attention three years ago before we even formed Dealer Authority when she was Social Media Specialist for 3 Birds Marketing. When she worked her way up to Director of Sales for the Mid Atlantic, we recruited her to come work with our former company. The sale of DigiGo last month and her choice to pursue other opportunities prompted us to see how she could translate the skills she had acquired at her parents’ dealership as well as her vendor experience at 3 Birds, Dealer Specialties, and KPA into a good fit for Dealer Authority.
The fit was perfect. We deliberated for a couple of minutes before deciding to offer her a position.
As Director of Social Media, she will be working with the social media team as well as hitting the road and webinar circuit to help educate dealers about the best practices that they can apply to improve their store’s social media presence. With past speaking engagements at Digital Dealer, the Internet Sales 20 Group, and the Digital Marketing Strategies Conference, you should expect to see her speaking at a ton of conferences in 2015.
